About Our Bed and Breakfast

Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park,in the beautiful Patterdale valley, you will find an excellent venue for ending Day 4 of the Coast to Coast and ideally situated for Ullswater Steamers (30 seconds). Not that we are suggesting that any of you walkers take advantage of them on day 5!!

The Ullswater valley has something to offer everyone. If you are wanting breathtaking scenery or a relaxing few days in beautiful surroundings it’s all here. For the adventurous we are at the base of Helvellyn, England’s third highest mountain, or for those who prefer less daunting pursuits the valleys and woodland trails are full of fabulous flora and fauna all year round.

Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick, Penrith and Bowness are all within a short drive as is the cascading 70ft waterfall Aira Force. Sailing, motor boats and canoeing are on the doorstep and a whole host of other outdoor activities.
